Popularly known as Dammy Krane, Oyindamola Johnson Emmanuel is a Nigerian singer, composer, and performer. He secured a record deal with Hypertek Digital and 960 Music Group in January 2012, when he was 20 years old. His single hit “My Dear” is what made him most well-known.
Dammy Krane is renowned for his lyrically interesting compositions, melodic voice, and dynamic brand of alternative African music. Dammy Krane has been nominated for a number of awards, including Next Rated. At the 2012 Headies, he was named Rookie of the Year.
Dammy Krane was reportedly detained in the US on Friday, June 2, 2017, for grand theft, credit card fraud, and identity fraud.
More claims that he had used a stolen credit card to reserve a private jet from the company TapJets while on vacation in Miami surfaced in the days that followed. Due to inconsistencies in the credit card information he provided, the business claimed to have discovered the alleged theft.
After satisfying the $7,500 bond requirements, he was granted release from custody in Miami. He entered a not guilty plea and pleaded for a jury trial. The singer was given legal representation and scheduled to show up in court on June 23, 2017.
His mother defended her son’s innocence, blaming the concert promoter who purchased his airline ticket for his problems.
All allegations against him, including those for credit card fraud, armed conspiracy, and grand theft, were dismissed by American courts in August 2017.
He is currently harassing Davido on Twitter for outstanding bills.
Dammy Krane, a singer who co-wrote one of Davido’s songs, called out Davido on Twitter and demanded that he make amends.
Dammy claims that he has been trying to get Davido’s team to reimburse him but has received no response.
