The Nigerian Music industry has witnessed the release of some dope music in the month of September. We bring to you the Naijatastic list of the top ten Nigerian Songs released in September.

Empawa Artiste, Joeboy continues on an impressive run after the release of his debut album “Somewhere between Love and Light “ in February 2021. The album produced hits such as Door, Oh, Celebration and Lonely. Alcohol is his first post album single, and it is produced by Tempo. Beautiful Music.

2) Phenom ft Olamide and Phyno – Shamaya

Former Knight House artiste and the Shuku Shuku bambam Crooner, Phenom, resurfaces into the industry after a long hiatus with the Hysaint produced Single “Shamaya“ featuring Phyno and Olamide. The feel-good track talks about the beauty of a woman that is making the guys go crazy and “Shamaya”. All the artistes delivered excellently on the track and this might just be Phenom’s Grand entrance back to the industry. 

3) Tems – Crazy Tings 

Following the massive acceptance of her feature on Wizkid’s Essence, Tems has become a global superstar scoring millions of streams and features with Drake and Brent Faiyaz. In order to maximize the attention, she dropped the Ep “If Orange Was A Place” and our stand out track off the project is the Guilty Beats produced “Crazy Tings “ 

4) DJ Yankee ft Blaqbonez and Cheque – 1000 years

TMM official DJ, Dj Yankee dropped the label’s first official track titled “1000 years“ featuring Blaqbonez and Cheque. The hip-hop joint is gaining massive love on the streets and the video has been shot by OlutheWave.

5) Brymo – Akoko

Brymo released two new albums in September 2021 titled “Harmattan and Winter“ and “Esan”. On these albums, Brymo shows his artistry and genius as a music maker once again. Off The Esan Album, we present “Akoko”, a self-appraisal track where Brymo hails himself as one of the finest artistes to come out of Africa. 

6) 2face ft Bongos Ikwue – Searching 

2face teamed up with The Legend, Bongos Ikwue for the remake of his 1978 single “Still Searching”. The song and the video are a lovely representation of the Benue people of Nigeria. The song is produced by Richie and worth a spin. 

7) Ajinomoix ft. Dice Ailes – Focus 

After the success of the instrumentals in 2020, Street Pop producer, Ajinomoix teams up with the Former Choc City artiste and head of TMM label, Dice Ailes to deliver the official track titled “Focus“. The video features the focus dance originator “Hagman DC“ and has been enjoying massive love on the streets. 

8) Cavemen – Odo

The highlife duo released their single “Odo” in September 2021. The highlife duo has gained widespread acceptance for their unique music style reminiscent of the old Igbo highlife music getting cosigns from artistes like Asa, Wizkid and Kiddominant.

9) Adekunle Gold ft. Davido – High

Adekunle Gold has completed his transition from the folklore / ballad genre of music to Afropop with the release of his third album “Afropop”. He has followed up with impressive Afropop singles like Sinner and the recently released “ High” featuring DMW helms man, Davido. The Amapiano themed single is produced by Pheelz and is currently enjoying massive airplay’s and love from music listeners across Africa.

10) Johnny Drille ft. Style Plus – Odo

After almost four years in Mavins Records, RnB artiste Johnny Drille dropped his debut album “Before We Fall Asleep“ in September 2021. The album was released to rave reviews. One of the standout tracks is the track “Odo” featuring The legendary duo “‘Styl Plus”.
