CKay acquires a new mansion and compares the building with his old home in 2014.
There is a new trend of young Afrobeat artists acquiring new homes and properties. Young Nigerian musicians like Omah Lay and Bella Shmurda joined the list of new landlords in Lagos months back. CKay follows in the same footsteps and is proud of how far he has come.
The “Love Nwantiti’ crooner publicly appreciated how far he had gotten in his life and career. He wrote, “In 2014, I ran away from home and stayed with a friend in one room in this building… That’s where it all began, zero regrets.”
CKay began his journey in the music industry like every other upcoming artist. Fleeing his initial home as far back as 9 years, the afrobeat superstar moved to a one-room apartment. There he started his musical journey.
Sharing on his Instagram page, CKay posted a picture of him in his new home with the caption, “Came a really long way. Grateful.”
He further tweeted, “2023 Vs. 2014. Came a long way. Grateful. HALLELUJAH out on Friday.”
CKay music gained massive waves after his track titled “Love Nwantiti.’ Many fans and celebrities have taken to their social media pages to congratulate the new landlord.
